I heard that HOF members, when they die, have members of the HOF board show up at their house, take their copy of the Winnie Winston book, their picks and bar, favorite tee shirt, and swear their families to secrecy.

A little spooky for me.

I'll stick with my local mafia...

The "Steel Guitar Hall of Fame" is for all of us to honor the steel players that undisputedly deserve it.
Then maybe it's time for "all of us" to have a vote as to who is in it. How are Hall of Fame members for other things selected? Are they all selected by committee? Image

Maybe I should start a "Popular vote" HOF, everybody gets one vote for a player, and one vote against a player, the ones that come out with the most "For" votes get in that year. Huh? I'll find a big venue to do the award show. Fan fair? CMA week?
Hey, I'll do it, then no one will have any complaints, right?
I'll do it right here in Nashville, find a good hotel basement to put the plaques in, and have a five miniute celebration once a year for the inductees. (small humor here)

OK guys, you have only two votes, write them down and send them to me, you can have two votes going FOR a player, or two against, or one each way. No double voting, I know you all so don't try anything!

Who is going to get the first votes, I'll announce the proceedings as we go along.

Lets go, my address is:

Popular Steelers Hall of Fame,
(PSHOF)
Steel guitar Nashville
123 Midtown Ct.
Hendersonville TN.
37075

I'm serious, want your favorite guy in the PSHOF? Then vote, Who really want's Julian in? Or anyone else. This thing could get big, lets find out.

Who knows, T-shirts that say:
PSHOF! Everybody will be saying PSHOF!
This could turn into a very popular saying, yep, PSHOF ! I can hear it now------------------------>

I will be anouncing the score every week in my news letters and on this forum.
This week is none, but we are just now starting.

GET OUT THERE AND VOTE!!!!!!!

OK, to make it easy for you to vote, I'll set up a non-steel playing board to count the votes and we'll accept email votes to my store e-mail address:

e-mail above

We'll print all the votes out and total them up.
If you guy doesn't win now, it's your fault! Vote

John Kerry

And after that, Bobbe, you can start another steel guitar forum, where everybody gets to say what they want...

Ha Bobby: Great idea!!,but before anyone one votes, Maybe they should go on line and find out whos already in it.I think an open vote on this is like voting for family and friends at a county fair.I would like to see someone more qualified then me vote on someone getting in the HOF.It would be kind of like CMA show this week. The realy good people would be lift out and the pretty people in.
