I just got my copy of Waylon's "The Lost Outlaw Performance" on VHS from Amazon. I'm wondering a few things, because I'm using this video in a project for one of my Commercial Music classes. The recording says it's from 12 August, 1978 at the Grand Ole Opry. I haven't finished the tape yet, so I'm not sure what the credits will tell me. My questions are as follows:

1.) Is that Mooney playing the Sho~Bud double neck (Pro II?)?

2.) Does he have the necks switched? He's playing the back neck, and it sure does sound and look like he's playing E-9th.

3.) Is there any other way I could find out the other memebers of the Waylors at that period in history for my class?

More questions to come!

Thanks in advance,
Michael Garnett

Mooney has his E9th set-up on the back neck and still does to this day. What a player. I think he was a very important part of the Waylon sound.

Probably Ritchie Albright on drums, but thats just a guess.

Michael

Moon also uses both his feet to move the pedals on his E9th neck.He rarely touches the volume pedal.

P.S
I have a tape somewhere where Moon plays without shoes.Someone told me one time that this was the way Mooney play's almost all the time.
