Anybody know who the player was? Very nice.
Ooops. I should have added http://www.cmt.com/artists/az/moorer_allison/artist.jhtml?_requestid=366125

so others could hear it.

Dan Dugmore nailed that one.....one of the best CD's I have. Allison Moorer has a great voice and the looks to go with it. She should be on top of the charts in my opinion.

Dan Dugmore seems to be turning up on sessions with many of the top artists. I have the first Joe Nichols album and he is all over it and doing it great. What a wonderful player.

I mentioned this in the "Hidden Gems" thread, but check out Dan all over Steve Forbert's recent album "Just Like There's Nothin' to It" - real good

For what it's worth, on the live version of "Alabama Song" that's on that website it's your's truly playing, from the live "Show" album and DVD we did in January of 2003. Dan plays (very nicely) on her first album, Russ Pahl has done a lot of stuff with her too...

Hi Pete ,
Great playing throughout the CD/DVD ! I`ve been meaning to ask you this for a long time and here`s my chance...
Since your intonation is so spot on and in a live situation, no less, I`d like to know how you tune your gtr , just or tempered ? Any tips on playing in tune live with a loud band ?
Thanks !

Hey Steve, and thanks. I'm out with Patty Loveless for the next couple of weeks but I'll have a lot of time after that and of course we're long overdue for a good "hang"

And Olli, thanks for the kind words! As far as tuning I use a pretty typical tempering I guess, 3rds flatted a bit etc. As far as playing in tune with a loud band, I guess the best advice I can give is to try to sit next to whoever else on stage is most reliably in tune! Hope to make it to your neck of the woods someday; I've made it to Sweden and Norway but not quite far enough East!

Great sounds, Pete. Best steel I've heard recorded in years. Did you listen to a lot of Pete Drake. Is the guitar a Showbud on the Allison Moorer live recording? Thanks.
