I shared the stage with my Dad starting at age 8. After he stoped playing I continued to grace the same stages he played on for years. I always felt good about standing in the same spot he did 25 years before me. So to all the Dads, Thank you from all the sons. "Dad put some casters on the 500 will ya! My back is killin me!"

How many of you get to gig with your own kids?
Moderator: Shoshanah Marohn
I have been fortunate to play several gigs over the last 5 or 6 years with both my sons. My oldest son (22) plays guitar and sings very well. He is usually the one that gets the gigs. My youngest son (20) plays the drums and sings as well and get offers often from other bands. And then there is my wonderful and beautiful daughter that sings like a bird. She is only 10, so her times with us are limited to certain gigs.
There is nothing that compares to having the family on stage with you. I love it! And I thought touring the weekends with the boys was fun. I should have started this when the kids were pre-teens.

HA!
You're killing me Mark!
That actually happened to my brother-in-law. Maybe we should start a thread about that subject!

Well, I thought you'd never ask! Our middle daughter, Faith, is living in England now, but she's sung with my jazz group for the last 3-4 years. Here she is doing Eddie Arnold's "You Don't Know Me" when she was 18 (5 years ago). That's me on guitar.
