Hi
Does anyone know if JCH steels are back? I used to have an early one and sold it to a guy in CA. years ago. It was dark blue...(hoping someone has seen it around)

Hi MIke, I've always wanted a JCH, but Jimmy told me years ago, he would not build a D12. Great guitar though!

Hi Chris
I'll bet you know that JCH since I bought it from you! Yes I still play but just sessions. I stopped playing live gigs for the most part out here. You know how it is in Sacramento, not to many bands and even less good ones that will play real counrty. I don't know where it all went to. I picked up a Franklin a while back and it's been a very good guitar. It plays true and the tone is good too, nice axe.
I did send you an email but no reply so it must be an old address or something. Mine is mscaggs@emike.net
Shoot me an email so we can hook up buddy...

Good to hear from you. I'm sure your home town misses your playing....Also, congrads on your success. I always liked your playing.
I guess Mike Leatherman is working with John Michael these days. He's a hard worker and deserves a good gig. I really liked playing with the ole Silver Creek band, fun times.
Like I said in the past post, I play sessions almost exclusively now. I do allot of Acoustic guitar and steel on these recordings. I still play lead guitar too but the steel and acoustic stuff is on top. Some good sessions and some bad, you now how that is I'm sure.
Also, I've been trying to get Bobby's number if you have it. We haven't talked in awhile and I wanted to say hello and see what he's up to. I miss playing with that guy even though he would smoke me! Bobby Black is the man....

Jimmie's standard answer, "A year plus." It took 16 months for my D-10 8 & 5 guitar. Are they worth the wait? I think so. Is the wait necessary? No!
Besides my D-10 I have an SD-10 that I bought from Lloyd Green. It was still new when Lloyd sold it to me and those are my two guitars of choice. |

Mike, while this thread's got your attention, I just wanted to thank you, and say that those who never had the opportunity to check out your old (country guitar) website sure missed a good thing. I still consider it one of the best, and I just wish you'd do it again. |

Thanks for the kind words on the old site. I still have the entire html for that site. Someone offered me a bunch of cash for the domain name so I sold it. Maybe I will put up another guitar site soon.
There will be a new site soon for one of our fellow steel players I'm developing now but it's still not time to announce it yet. If fact, the person I'm building this site for has not even seen it yet!
