Just a reminder from Mr. Clean...

Post by Rick Collins »

Don't forget to wipe down your strings when you finish your practice sessions. I did that very thing this morning, before work __ with a Blitz Cloth.

Also, put a Cling Free sheet in that stinky case, and one in the back of your amp.

Rick, you have heard a nasty rumor that is totally false. I always stand when performing and even when practicing. I always wear white pants and would never sit while playing.

HOWEVER: Image

I do utilize the "Bidet" for filing really horrible CDs of bad steel guitar playing. I'm unsure, whether or not, I have filed one of your's there. There's no way I would ever consider retrieving one __ even while wearing surgical gloves.

Sure wouldn't be the first time ... some of my best work ... ended up in the bottom of a bidet.

I've heard rumors of "interventions" held at the HSGA convention in Joliet where players with poor intonation had their CDs flushed down the toilet.

Seriously, all are welcome (they didn't throw me out...) Image
[This message was edited by Bill Leff on 23 August 2005 at 05:34 PM.]

I was in Mexico last week on vacation. Our hotel room had a bidet in the bathroom.

I gave it a try... couldn't get the "hang" of it. Just sprayed water all over the wall, floor and myself.

We ended up filling it with ice and used it to keep the beer cold.

I would like to call attention to the improper use of a bidet in the aforementioned posts. It is unseemly that the bidet is being used for CD discards.

Members of the Forum should be educated about proper bidet practice.

When one begins to understand the purpose of a bidet, he or she can still be in the dark about the procedure. Here is where most people will need help, because resources are limited on procedures.

Certain members of the Forum cannot be alone in their ignorance. There have been thousands of travelers who encounter this puzzle every year and are perplexed by this porcelain mystery.

I hope that I have been of some help in this discussion! Image Image

Aloha,
Don

Rick C. ... I'm Image ... you said in the Joliet HSGA post:
I'll send Mr. Clean by the newly renovated Holiday Inn to check it out, Rick A.
Then you stated this above:

Did you just "slip up" and tell the world this guy's secret identity...

Don, I always thought a bidet was a lady's "thang" ...

But after reading your comment:

I decided to research it abit ... since I brought up this "Porcelain Pressure Cleaner" ... and found this:

Hmmm ... Strong enough for a man, but made for a woman ... Image

The things you learn on the Forum ... ain't it great Image

Rick A. I didn't know my picture was anywhere on the WWW. Image

I did a Google search on "Cleaning of CDs" __ one of the choices listed was the Tidy Bowl website. Image

As your attorney I suggest you only use an acoustic steel while employing a bidet.

Otherwise, ouch! Image

Although an electric steel with a battey powered MicroCube may produce some safe and mildly interesting sensations. Image

Oh geeeeeeeeeez....it recommends people over 60 only get to use COLD water. As in NOT warm. I think the only "bidetting" I'll be doing is on Ebay (bidding).

Nuff said!!!

Well, had to edit this so that the post stayed "on topic". Mr. Clean, thanks for the reminder about keeping strings in good shape. There, I stayed on topic.
[This message was edited by Joy Wofford on 24 August 2005 at 11:28 AM.]
