Start Up Band

Post by Steve Buchanan »

Wanting to start up a classic country band(Ray Price, Hank Sr., ect.) in the south Kansas City, Belton Mo region. Anyone know of any players who might be interested? I play lead guitar, some steel, and have played in working bands for years but have recently been away from it. Wanting to get started again with steel, fiddle, bass, drums, & lead guitar. Used to play for a singer with a voice as smooth as Ray Price and Eddie Arnold, looking for that combination again.

Haven't been to Belton, MO since 1965. Went to Hillcrest Elementary. Wow!

Good luck, Steve!

Tim, I'm not positive, but I think you and I went to different schools together.

Tim,
Hillcrest is still there, right down the street from me. Belton has probably tripled in size since 65, and Bruce is still down the road in Harrisonville making his great ZumSteels.

Steve,
You might want to get in touch with Doug Masten. Fine player. You can contact him through Zum. I tried to e-mail you but it came back.
