Bill, try to contact Don Fritsche, he is still making the BMI guitars and perhaps he could help, the last address I have is 763 Rodeo Arena Rd.,Rte.1 Box 105A, Scranton, Arkansas 72863 or e-mail at fritsche@cswnet.com.....as for the grease ,most high quality auto-stores should carry it in a tube..good luck hope it works... ....I have an older S-10 BMI as well |

This is good information for me also. I just purchased a BMI S-10 from the forum and had a few questions. This is a very good design guitar but not as smooth as a MSA or Carter. The pedal action on mine seems to be stiff. I sent Don an E-mail for information on that and other questions.
I am hoping I like this guitar because EVERY part in a machined part and it has minimal cabinet drop.
If anyone has any further information on BMI, please post it here or send me an E-mail.

White lithium grease. Should be available at any auto parts store or any parts store that sells ball bearings, ie Motion Industries. Check the yellow pages under ball bearings. |
