Word out of Harry's Music this morning is that Jerry is still not feeling up to snuff, to the point were he's now suspended all steel lessons til further notice.

Here's hoping it's a minor thing, and that he'll soon kick free of what's ailing him.

Best wishes to a very fine gentleman!

I hoped this isn't bad netiquette (if it is, someone please let me know), but I just wanted to cross-reference Ray Montee's excellent idea in the "No Peddlers" thread, "For Byrd Lovers" so that this idea would get maximum exposure --

quote:
Why not each of us, go out of our way TODAY, and purchase the nicest "get well card" we can find and send it off to Jerry Byrd without delay.
This is a man who has given so freely of himself to provide us, YOU and ME, with what is truly some of the most beautiful music every played on steel guitar. His personal cards and letters have helped many of us get thro' our worst days on earth....
In addition to our prayers.....a card and a personal get well note, might just make his day a little easier at this time.
Send that card to: JERRY BYRD, Master of Touch & Tone; P.O. Box 15026, Honolulu, Hi
