There is a nice Jernigan run that I was working on. His fingering is different than what I might have done. Anyway I played it a good 100 times using his fingering. I would up with a swollen first joint on my index finger. I was told by a nurse that if you do something a different way than you are use to its very easy to overwork your muscle or joint. I guess the moral of the story is if you're trying something new do it in a way you're use to OR start slowly. I hope the swelling goes down soon!

P.S. Doug did say if you can already play use your own fingering. Yes Doug, there is wisdom in that statement.

I'll do that and put a little lime in the coconut too! Actually I've been told to take some Motrin (ibeprofen)

Practicing new stuff makes my EARS hurt..

And I already put the Lime in the Coconut and it didn't work..but I didn't try the "Call me in the morning thing"..

Actually the Marine Corps had some pills called APC's (All purpose capsules). Worked for sore ears, wrists, fingers, etc...Call your recruiter.
