that he does indeed browse into this discussion board from time to time.

I was visiting w/him at the Rockygrass festival this afternoon and told him he could make a bunch of pickers really happy if he would choose to involve himself here.

Just got home from the festival; Alison Krauss just finished; Skaggs last nite; Doc Watson w/Jerry, Bela, Tim O'Brien; very nice. Sam Bush and John Cowan played earlier. Pretty much a great festival for my little town of Lyons! There's even an outdoor smoking section; is that Boulder County or what? Image

It would be nice to see Jerry post in here once in a while. He could really add to several discussions. Cindy stops by from time to time and so does Gary Branden.

Marty just won the RockyGrass (Colorado) Dobro contest this past weekend and can also hold his own on many other insturments.

Considering the competition this year Marty deserves our applause!!!

Welcome to the club Marty! For those of you who don't know Marty, he is also a pedal player but we won't hold that against him!

I'd say getting to hear AK/US and rub elbows with the likes of Doc Watson and Bela Fleck is worth the price of admission/competing.

You going up against Jerry?

I just now picked up Jerry Douglas's CD 'Lookout For Hope".

excellent tunes and production. listening makes it harder waiting for my National Model D to arrive from the factory.

if Jerry is reading....great music...you are an inspiration. thanks.

I'm sure he has his hands full just keeping up with the messages on his own fine web site. Still, it's nice to know he watches over us. Image
