I saw Don with the Souviniers in SF 5 or 6 years back when our band opened for them. He is a great player. We both had the same setup - Sho Bud Super Pro and a Webb.

I saw Don play with Dale Watson last year at Twangfest in St. Louis. He's a fine player who compliments Dale's music well. I highly recommend seeing Dale Watson - he's the real deal!

He's got some wicked cool licks, I really enjoyed listening to him the couple of times I got lucky enough to see him with Dale.

I met Don when I was living in Nashville in the early 1990's. He was a fine player back then and last year I had the opportunity to see him play with Dale Watson right after he got the gig, once in Texas and then a week later in my home town. He sounded great and I expect that he is just getting better and better with all the playing he gets to do. You definately want to check him out. He's also a great guy and loves to talk shop.

And he's a chick magnet! Of course, in Dale's band, you'd have to be a leper amputee not to draw the babes.

Hey Drew,
I met Don last year when he swung through these parts with Dale Watson. Ricky had told me what a great player he was so I went out to see and hear it for myself. WOW! He truly is a great player and a helluva' nice guy. Go say hi if ya' get the chance. You won't regret it.

i know don from his years living in seattle. we played in a couple of bands and i had him do sessions for me on stuff i was producing. he's a great player, a master of that mooney- brumley-60's kind of sound that i love plus his own style. hey, if anyone's got his current address, phone or email would you emial it to me. i've lost touch with him over the last year or so and would like to touch base. thanx in advance...oj

Don is a great player, I have missed him here in Seattle (but I have appreciated the work tossed my way). We worked a couple gigs double steel and it was great! His playing can be considered 'retro', but he is such a creative player that to label him in that 'alt-country' vein would not do him justice. He plays a killer mid 80s shobud (Paul Franklin Sr. built) through a Webb.

Great guy, great player.

See him!

I saw him with Dale Watson et al here in New York a while ago... playing a blonde sho bud. GREAT show, and a nice guy (based on the brief conversation when I bugged him about the Jukebox Charlie intro...) a hell of a player, too.
