They are MERCIFULLY short, mostly just me and my MSA in the computer room into a Nashville 112 with the $1.79 plastic computer mike laying on the floor recording it. We're not very high tech here!.ALL squeeks, rattles, clams, intonation brain lapses, malaprops, and other technique faults left intact for your amusement. There are two clips done in the studio. One of my rock guitar soloing and a somewhat acceptable steel solo I recorded on a Pro III.. Its not much but its as good as it gets for me I suppose. I hope the link works!!.. Its a piece of junk web site. one or two hits and its down... 6b">

Sorry, Bob, I really would have liked to listen to your playing since I have a feeling we are somewhat related musically... all I got was "the page you requested was not found."

Regards, Joe H.

Bob's been practicing! This is good stuff, Bob.

Try this...Bob's Lousy Music Page

Looks like 3,4,&5 has no links. This site has a limit to the number of data transfers. If the hits are too many too often, you get a "Wait awhile" alert.

What a piece of crap that site is!!.. I checked it out and all links are up,played TWO of the clips and the site posted its "allocated data allotment" nonsense .. why even bother?? Time to find a site that will let you use it for more than 10 seconds before it kicks you out!... anyway if you get a chance, give my old plywood MSA a listen... not a bad sounding steel,... she's in a million pieces in a box right now.. patiently awaiting a total restoration and a NEW maple body! bob

Bob ,
You are correct, that site is a piece of crap! But..your playing is NOT!Nice stuff!
Thanks for posting it.I know it takes a lot of courage to put your stuff out on a site like this especially when it may be heard by
some of your steel guitar heros. How about some clips of that new "Carter" ?

Thanks Larry...yeah I should get some clips of the Carter.. I have to get another web space first.. that one is ridiculous!.. I don't mind guys hearing me "raw" .. you know, no band ,no mixdown etc.If I stink at least I do it with pride!!! Its amazing.. for a guy that has been playing many many years, with many bands, and has made dozens of studio recordings as well as live recordings, that I have almost nothing to post here, except for a few doodles made with a plastic computer mike laying on the floor!... I need to get my"techno act together!!... bob

A very good job, Bob!
You and I and all the rest of us at this level are a BIG majority, and the good pickers need a reminder of this kind now and then.
So let's keep on picking, and have fun!
And all you good pickers - we know were you live, so don't be nasty, LOL!

Mr Bob, did you say mediocore playing? if that's mediocore, then I'd classify my playing as TRASH! that's really good playin!
By the way- if you've lost any speed, then I ain't never found any. if I could play half that fast, I'd be happy. how long have you been playin mr Bob?

Terry.. I have been at it a very long time.. about 28 years. I have lost a tad in speed, creativity and touch, mainly because I hardly play the steel anymore in the band I'm in. I do mostly rock lead guitar and vocals. I have been playing more steel at home and some of what was lost is coming back... Now if I could only find a band that wanted a PEDAL STEEL guitarist instead of a rock player I'd be in good shape. THANK YOU an awful lot for the very kind words!! Best of luck to you.I know you are getting back "into it" after a layoff of many years. .. I know you'll do just fine. You have an obvious love for steel and that's the number one ingredient for being a good player. bob

Bob, very nice playing, areal western and hawaiian fellt o it also.
Your band is very foolish not to feature you on steel a lot more.
28 years of playing is nothing to put aside blythly.
