Post by Mike Kowalik »

I believe there was apost just recently about this cd by Tom Brumley being available on cd....and a tab booklet also.
Is this true?
If so..from whom can the cd and tab booklet be purchased.

Tom & Rolene Brumley
brumshow@mailbox-it.com

Now, what you wanna order is one of each of the following...

1. Tom Cattin' CD
2. Tom Cattin' Tracks CD (tunes less steel)
3. In Time CD
4. In Time Tracks CD (tunes less steel)
5. Tab Book to it all <- Wrong.. My mistake... Corrected 02/10/04 11:33 AM EST
5. Tab Book to Tom Cattin' CD

Why do I know? 'cause I've been watching my mailbox for a couple of days for the package to arrive, and my wife ain't gonna see me for a week when it does :>)
[This message was edited by Ray Minich on 06 February 2004 at 03:47 PM.]

[This message was edited by Ray Minich on 06 February 2004 at 03:47 PM.]

[This message was edited by Ray Minich on 10 February 2004 at 08:26 AM.]

[This message was edited by Ray Minich on 10 February 2004 at 08:27 AM.]

I have the Tom Cattin' CD and Tab - especially the tab book was very helpful and clarified a few mysteries to me! Image

Kind Regards, Walter

Well, I got the Tom Cattin' CD and the Tom Cattin' tracks CD (backup only, no steel).

As many times as I have heard Tom Brumley's Buds Bounce, played along with Bud's Bounce, and tried to figure out Bud's bounce in the last 40 years, hearing the backup music track with no steel was totally disorienting. I sat there wondering "What do I do next?".

This is gonna be fun.

I’m glad you mentioned that, I was talking to Tom’s son Todd recently. I played Tom Cattin recently on the Presleys’ show on RFD. When I was learning it, I noticed a live version of Tom playing it, and it looked like he was playing in F, but sounded like E. Todd said he thought they tuned down on most of the stuff they did. Don’t know if it’s tabbed that way or not.

Neosho Waltz is my favorite tune on that album.
I got the CD from Rolene at one of the Branson shows.
