I just got a ticket for a performance of Jerry Lee Lewis in Amsterdam.
Does anyone knows if he has a steel player with him?
(it's not the reason why I want to see him, but I was just wondering)[This message was edited by Marco Schouten on 24 January 2004 at 11:49 AM.] |

Jerry lee was in Vienna quite a few times, but he never had a Steel Player here, even at times when he did a lot of country material. He used guitar and a great fiddle player (Kenny Lovelace). I don't know about his current band, though.

Please pardon my ignorance, but if your refering to the "Great Balls Of Fire" Jerry Lee Lewis(piano playing),I thought he passed away a while ago.
If I'm wrong,I most humbly apologize to him and you.

I have opened shows for JLL, and he usually shows up with a bass player, guitar player and drummer.
They turn it all up, and rock for 2 hours nonstop. One long medley!!
Amazing.
No steel players that I know of.

Last time the Killer was through here he had James Burton playing guitar. If that is still the case its definitely a show not to miss. |

He had a steel player for many years but for now I can't remember his name. The player worked for several years with Eddie Rabbit up until Eddie's death. Maybe someone out there can remember his name. |

Bobby,
Thanks for posting this for Tommy,
He's been lurkin here for sometime now, checking the surroundings.
He's a heck of a picker and a great guy ,,, when he not Drag raceing , then the can get very focused ,and don't like to be monkey'ed with a lot's. he's a perfectionist.
We've been like brothers for many years and yes, he and Ned were very good friends.
Everybody welcome him to the forum,
He has great knowledge of the psg and will share it.
Kenny
