Earl is Still Around , I talk to him on The AOL IM from time to time. Earl isn't a Telecaster Ace Per Se, Master Guitarist would actually come closer to describing Him.
Tough Picker in any case.<FONT SIZE=1 COLOR="#8e236b"><p align=CENTER>[This message was edited by John Floyd on 14 January 2004 at 12:48 PM.]</p></FONT>

I see Earl just about every month at the meetings and Super Jams of our N.T.S.G.A. here in Nashville. It always brings back memories of when I worked with him back in the Phila.,Pa. area, when he was still a budding teenager! A fine picker then and a finer picker today. Those were the ‘good old days’, and these are the ‘good new days’! “Big John”

Hi Dave, sorry for not responding sooner. I have been busy and haven't spent as much time on the computer as I usually do. It's nice to know I have friends on the forum. I have been thinking about maybe doing another CD but finding the time seems to be a little sparse right now. I want to thank all of you for asking about me. Big John, you and I go a long way back to 1963-64 along with George Edwards playing in the northeast.
My buddy John Floyd brought this topic to my attention. I probably would have missed it not for him. I'll try to do a better job of staying in touch with my friends.

Earl Erb is one of those people who, when you meet for the first time, he makes you feel that you've been friends forever. A gentlemans' gentleman in every sence of the word.
God bless you Earl and I'm so proud to call you "friend",,,,friend indeed!

The first time I heard Earl he was using a Gibson Byrdland, playing with John Floyd's old buddy, Robbie Robinson. This has been a lot of years ago and he was great then and has done nothing but improve since. His character hasn't improved, though, because you can't get any nicer than Earl always has been.

I guess I was his buddy, I would have had to be paid to be called an employee. <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/15/15_4_105.gif' border=0></a><FONT SIZE=1 COLOR="#8e236b"><p align=CENTER>[This message was edited by John Floyd on 22 January 2004 at 09:44 AM.]</p></FONT>
Hi Woody, since we are diggin' up bones, that would have been November and December of 1969 in Macon,Ga...forgot the name of the club. I was 22 at the time. We spent Christmas there. I still have my 68 Byrdland even though its retired.
John, now you behave yourself or I'll have to get Sleepy Labeef...I mean Sleepy John after you.
Bob Bowman, the feeling is mutual, my friend.
Dave, thanks for caring. <FONT SIZE=1 COLOR="#8e236b"><p align=CENTER>[This message was edited by Earl Erb on 22 January 2004 at 02:05 PM.]</p></FONT>
