"When I Call Your Name" is one of my all-time favorite Vince songs. Paul's steel work in the song is awesome. I'd love to learn that song on steel. Brett, Emmons S-10, Morrell lapsteel |

And proud you should be Theresa! That is an excellent song. You can tell Paul, and Vince, both put their hearts, and souls, into it. (along with the other session players of course)

Can you imagine? When I worked for radio station WIXY the PD did not want it on the play list. Didn't bother me none once I got through the long piano solo and heard that pedal steel solo, I was hooked.I was just a fill in so I played exactly what I wanted too. It was not too long after they had no choice, the song was a runaway top ten for VG and the people had spoken. |

I have a video i made years ago of Vince singing that song on the Grand Old Opry
and John Hughey did as fine a job as anyone could have done on that song. Roy Acuff was
the MC and stood right behind Vince while he sang the song. John played Paul's turn-
around perfectly and it was great. Sure miss
those times when the PSG was put right out
front.
