Stayed up late to listen to Connie Smith on the Ernest Tubb Midnight Jamboree via WSM radio Saturday Night.
I was hearing some of the best steel work I had ever heard, and finally she introduced the steel player as Russ Hicks. I just wanted to post a few lines and say what a great job he did. In fact, her entire band was great.

I stayed up and heard it too.
Connie and those guys were really enjoying themselves and having fun while playing some great music They have found a magic formula and it shows in their Sound.
It also shows that she is very proud of her band and rightfully so. |
