Cal;
That clip is from the George Jones LP "My Very Special Guests" from 1979. Willie & George sang, "I Gotta Get Drunk" and Waylon & George sang, "Night Life". Buddy's on both of them. Killer stuff, too! (Seems to me those were the only tunes on the LP that Buddy was on, however.)

I always thought an A+ was the top of the class; the highest you could go...

Looks to me like an E is the tops or maybe we ought to start calling it like it is:

E+ !!

Regards, Paul

Thanks, Ernie. I was wondering where that came from. Here's one final killer diller from the world's greatest. Things I scored this 45 from the jukebox at the Silver Dollar Saloon in South Bend when I was playing there around 1975. Couldn't decide what was the best part, so here's the whole song. Might take a while if you have a dial up connection. Ronnie Dove, vocals and Jimmy Colvard, guitar (I think).

one of my fave's is Buddy on Ray Charles' "Ballgame on a Rainy Day" -super slinky! wish I could post it...
Ray growls something about his " woman done gave him a dirty deal" and E comes in with this killer solo... I first heard it in the mid 70's, and it has been stuck in my head ever since- I can hear it note for note... now if I could just play it
