HSGA Joliet - Three month heads-up!
This is a reminder (and a gentle but firm kick in the pants) for all you forumites planning on attending HSGA Joliet October 13-15, 2005.
Get your hotel and convention registrations in as soon as possible.
The HSGA has a block of rooms reserved at the Holiday Inn for reduced rates. Reserve these soon (save a few bucks!). You really want to stay at the Holiday Inn while attending the convention, it's where all the action takes place 24/7 (stage shows, late night jams, workshops and socializing). Do you really want to get in your car at 3AM?
Also, if you are planning on performing on stage, the playing slots are filling quickly. Get your requests in now!

That wasn't a car Howard. It was a luggage cart in the elevator. You looked happy, so we left you there with a note pinned to your shirt.

You do not have to be a member of the HSGA to attend the convention, the workshops, the luau, or participate in the all night jams.
You must be a member in good standing (dues paid in full & willing to have a good time) in order to perform on stage.
Naperville, IL ???? aren't you something like 2 minutes away from Joliet?

I will be attending the Midwest Uke Fest in October. I will be conducting a Beginning Hawaiian Steel Guitar seminar there.

A special welcome to fellow Illinoisians,
George w/entourage, and Craig. The event
gets better with each passing year.
We have enjoyed meeting newcomers of all
ages. Quite a few younger players have
begun to attend during the past few years
which helps to ensure the group's future
success.
When you walk through that door it is like
you enter another dimension. Somewhat like a
refuge, a sanctuary from the everyday world.
I too, await the arrival of all you good folks.

Ditto to what Gerald and Maurie said, it's usually a blast.
Yes, it's great to see young people get involved, Jeff Au Hoy and Derrick Mau for instance. Us old duffers wont be around forever.
[This message was edited by Bill Creller on 12 July 2005 at 05:31 PM.]
