I Think most forumites know I have a Ton of old Pics,Records, and other memrobelia,-today I discovered a photo of Don on the OPRY with Porter Waggoner and he was playing a "NATIONAL" 8 string on a stand with a "Pedal" connected to it. Anyone know about this or the date????I Have an old 8 String National in my collection that had pedals but it is not this one I'm sure. Ed Naylor Steel Guitar Works.

I saw Don Worden with PW locally about '55-'58, I think. The trio sang and Don was standing at his steel. He did have a single pedal of some kind on it and played the "Bud Isaacs" lick on Satisfied Mind, etc.

I was a very shy 15 at the time so I didn't try to talk to him.

I sure miss those Grand Ole Opry tour shows that used to come around, even up here to the frigid Great White North .. 5 bucks and 5 or more Country stars on the bill. And the $Cdn was about $1.25 US in those days ...
