I have lot's of "offensives" musically, but I'll combine two of them into one as my "most irritating offense",,,,,playing out of tune and off pitch.

One of those legendary tales about bands includes this one about Hank Thompson's Brazos Valley Boys.

One night at a venue that shall remain unnamed, a drunk continued to gripe about the music being too loud. The steel guitar player, who shall also remain unnamed, called the drunk up to the bandstand and told him that his help was needed to adjust the volumn.

He told the drunk, put your ear against my amplifier (a Standel),and listen while I play something. The unnamed steeler then turned his volumn all the way up and hit an open chord with his thumb that had the drunk grabbing his ears and sprawling......

....the steeler said, that is LOUD my friend!

Which is more offensive...the alleged loud music or the unnamed steelers response?
