If you want a real treat in listening, get a copy of Jim Cohen's "Four To The Bar". His style, tone and execution along with some of Phily's best jazz players will leave you gasping for breath ! An excellent
CD with every track a winner !

Carl, I'm glad this CD made it out to the Left coast.I brought back several CDs from St. Louis. This one is still in the player.

Joe and Fred,
My head is still buzzing from that CD. Jim is a fantastic player. I like every track but guess my favorites were #1 and # 10. Also loved Surfer Girl. Be glad when I get mine. A friend played his for me.

Me too, Jody. When I first heard Jim play in a rinky-dink dive in my neighborhood, I was floored. The small crowd thought it was unique to have a pedal steel player in Philly. I said, "Unique! You have no idea. This guy is not just a pedal steel player, he's gotta be one of the best pedal steel players in the whole country." Then I bought his Finally Here CD and my opinion went up even more. The breadth of the selection - the taste. And his new CD continues in the same way. Jim has really done it. He's done what so many of us wish we could do. He took a hobby, and persisted at it until he became a real artist. Hat's off to Jimbo!

I finally got mine a couple days ago, and agree that this is by far Jim's best effort to date! Fine assortment of tunes, great tone (or is it timbre ), and execution.

Y'all need to get one just for the artwork, if nothing else. It's worth the price of the CD itself! Plus he needs the money!

Jim is a wonderful player, and the CD is terrific. 5 stars.

However I'm still traumatized by his "the waiter survives" pun. It's going to take years of therapy to get over it.
