Just got my copy a few min ago. Up to track #4 at this time and if I died today it would take 3 undertakers all day to wipe this grin off my face!

Just listened to mine for the first time. Fantastic! I've been working on C6 lately, but now the jazz stuff will have to wait. I'm back on E9 with this CD.

Got my copy in two days! As always, Lloyd is great. I have a lot of his old phonograph albums but nothing worth while to play them on. If Lloyd is in earshot and if the masters to these old records are laying around somewhere.....put out reissue CD's!!!! The steel market is small, but he could make a nice piece of change and do the steel guitar community a great favor and put a lot of smiles on steeler's faces.

Hi Lloyd,
Excellent job. As usual you are the master of efficient, yet interesting and of course beautiful playing. The only negative I could find (cause someone has to say it) is that Junior's voice sounds strained or hoarse on So Sad. However, your playing is uniformly excellent throughout. Thanks for returning to the steel. As I've mentioned before, your album "The Hit Sounds of L.G." is what sold me on steel guitar initially.

I thought the emotion in Junior's voice matched that of Lloyd's playing. The feeling that each artist put in this song was very strong. "So Sad" is one of my favorite cuts.

My autographed copy arrived this morning, less than a week since I placed my order. I have listened to it several times already and love it. Lloyd's musicianship and playing have always been top notch and Revisited showcases Lloyd at his best. Thank you Lloyd....IP

Lloyd! "Mr Nashville Sound", you've outdone yourself. An excellent comeback from retirement. I have all of your LP's and now this! You have nothing to prove at this point in your life and your humble nature can sit back and relax a little, but now the rest of us have to soak this cd in and try to figure out how to duplicate some of these passages? A great piece of work! And tone to the bone! This must continue!

This collection is my all time favorite steel guitar album!
I love Junior Brown also, however I am not crazy about his vocal on So Sad...I liked it better when Lloyd played it at STL as an instrumental.

Thank God for giving this great artist back his livelihood after many years of struggling with Ménière's disease. Thanks, Lloyd, for sharing it with us once again.

One thing very noticeable in Lloyd’s playing of the instrumentals is how he maximizes the beauty of the instrument by not sticking to the lyrical melody note-for-note. With the steel, he gets beyond what is possible—or at least natural—with the human voice. It shows some added creativity and it really got my attention. This is not unique to Lloyd’s playing, but it's so prevalent that you can’t overlook it, and it made me take more notice of the same trait in the works of other great players I’ve been listening to since the convention (Herby Wallace, Joe Wright and Jerry Brightman).

I like Junior's singing (on his own CD's) although he won't be mistaken for Phil and Don here.
Even so, "So Sad" is the one I listen to the most, just for Lloyd.

The more I listen to "So Sad" the more I appreciate Junior's singing. He's got a powerful voice and when he constrains it, like on this song, I can really sense the feeling especially there at the end. Like Dave said, that change to the walking bass really catches you.

I still think about how cool Lloyd looked kicking off Jukebox Charlie at Scotty's. Damn! That's a good one.

Regarding Junior's vocal on "so sad"- I think it's the "perfection of imperfection" focusing on the emotional content not necessarily the exactness of execution... although the skill it takes to sing like that is (IMO) a technical feat.

JR has paid tribute to ET as a primary vocal influence- just think how perfectly imperfect ole ET might have sung it..

just another $.02

the end of Lloyd's solo with the hammer-on trill is so elegant...

I listen to it again and again and get a smile each time...

I agree, this is a great CD. All the players at the convention were great, but Mr. Green was very impressive to me. I have been a fan of his for many years, and I can't see where he has lost anything at all. Anything but, as a matter of fact. Quite a musician and a very nice man to boot! Ron, you are right. Jukebox Charlie is one of my favorites too.

It's a great album. And just think Lloyd does it all with a 30-year-old guitar, a volume pedal, and an amp.

Amazing stuff. Talk about taking difficult and making it sound like an easy stroll in the park. Great choice of material, flawlessly executed. Oh, and I really love Junior Brown's vocals. Mature, expressive and haunting.

This CD has been on REPEAT in my car since it arrived in the mail (with a note from Mr LG - how thoughtful is THAT?).

Best $18 I've spent in a long while. Anyone who hasn't yet bought it, go NOW and get it.

I have been listening to Lloyd's CD for a couple of weeks now and it just gets better with every play. Definitely one of the "great" steel recordings. I know Lloyd uses a lot of bar slants but I find his playing very difficult to follow or emulate. I can get a reasonable handle on what Buddy, Bobbe, Tommy ..etc are doing but some of Lloyds playing makes me dizzy trying to follow it....IP

Ordered my Lloyd Green Revivited on Monday and got Wednesday...a great CD and a fine job by all...SO SAD with Junior Brown brought tears. Thanks Lloyd for a real nice CD to kick back and listen to.
