This "Lolana" Oahu lap steel is on eBay. I think the seller means "Iolana". Anyway, it's a beauty.

Iolana.

The empty compartment in the case between the two necks, was to house the volume pedal that originally came with the Iolana.

I own one of these (it is "Iolana", meaning "to soar" in Hawaiian, I believe). Of all the Valco-made steels I've owned -- probably 25-30 -- this is the best sounding one, IMHO. I play it every gig and it can SCREAM or sound as crisp and clear as you like. There is something about the extra mass of a double neck, compared to a single neck, that gives it some extra girth, tonewise. And, of course, the string-through pickups can't be beat.

It went for US $486.98. I really like the styling of it. Wonder how many other members own one? Not many, I'd wager.

I've got one and it really does sound great. The weakness that I notice is that the far neck could be elevated a little more for comfort (to clear the other neck when playing). Maybe that's just my own issue from being familiar with the layout of Fender doublenecks. Still I am very happy with it otherwise.

John, where did you get yours, and is it the same color scheme?

Yes, I have this one. I've only seen them in the color as shown. For a MOT guitar, these are beautiful. The plastic tuner buttons on mine have crystalized and crumbled, otherwise, it's in mint condition and even came with the original volume pedal.

I bought it on ebay.

Larry,
Mine is like the one in the picture. The pot codes are '49 & '50 and the case is slightly different.
I got mine off Ebay for $190.
