While riding down the road yesterday I heard a song on our local radio station. It was a lady singing and a young girl. The little girl was singing about her daddy. The station never announces the songs or artists. The steel was clean and simple. It sounded like Emmons to me but I may be wrong. Any ideas on the song, artist and steeler on this song would be appreciated. |

Could that song have been, "How Far Is Heaven"? That one has a little girl and a lady (I think Kitty Wells ). The title of the song would help in figuring your question.

Ashley Gearing is the young 12 year old artist. Her single is "Can You Hear Me When I Talk To You" out in stores now.
I think it might be Sonny Garrish.

This song has been out for several years. One line the girl sings is "He is the only daddy I've ever had." The station never tells who is singing or the song title. They play all older material, nothing current. IMHO it is the real country music they play. |
