Just picked up Daryl Singletary's CD "That's Why I Sing This Way". This is a great album of classic country songs. Mike Johnson's steel work is superb. His turn around on "I Never Go Around Mirrors" is awesome and by itself, worth the price of the CD. |

Mike Johnson is the man!! Check out his work with Brad Paisley especially "Munster Rag" on Brads second CD. Listen to both of his CD's. Mikes playing shines like a star.
I'll bet we'll start hearing more of Mike in the future. His playing is very rich.
BTW, if anyone on this forum knows Mike, get him on this forum as a regular! |

Hey Everyone,
There is tab for that lick on Rebel's I believe or here in the Tab section. I did a one man band rhythm track to use to practice it and you can also hear the final result as well on my website. Click on links and then go to the sound byte page for the files to listen to or download.

enjoy.
MJ is one awesome player and that lick is one of my all time favorites.

Mike's style and finesse is certainly a breath of fresh air to the country music market. Hopefully we'll be hearing more from him. |

I knew it was just a matter of time someone would post about this great CD, ten stars is right, the song "Kay" was written by an 18 year old, this CD is steel guitar at it's best |

M Tulbert: I went to your site to hear the licks and the 'Paul Franklin' lick soundbyte is just awsome. You did an outstanding job on that. I had that looping in my player for an hour!! Nice studio setup as well. I'm just getting into home recording with a Portastudio, a Boss DR5 drum machine as well as some software. Neat stuff!
