While going through my 3 foot high stack of records looking for a Hank William record I have some place,I ran across a record of Dean Dallas and the Doughboys
Golden Country hits
Steel Guitar plays the best of the golden country hits it says.
Absolutely beautiful steel playing on the following songs.
Slowly, Half a Mind, When Two Worlds Collide,
Long Black Veil, I miss you Already, It Makes No Difference Now, Release Me, A Satisfied Mind and When Your House Is Is Not A Home.
Who knows who the steel Player is?
Thanks |

I have that album, and it's my UNDERSTANDING, which certainly could be completely wrong, that it's Pete Drake in his early days. I believe that question was asked on this forum several years ago, and the answer was posted as Drake. Dunno if it's correct, but the playing certainly COULD be Pete. |

Tom Bradshaw told me a few years ago that it was Pete. I have that album also and didn't know who Dean Dallas was. |
