Billy, i was going to email you but this will be sufficient, this is a great Steel but like i said it has been modified, the pick-ups were rewound by Danny Shield quite a while before he passed away, the steel sounds good but it really don't have that Fender Tone like the Stringmasters have..that's not discounting it but i'm sure Danny wound it to Bill's Specks, the fella's name was Bill Kieller, he got the Steel when he was teaching Music in Portland, Or. he was a Fender Dealer as i understand. he refinished the Steel about 3 month before he passed away around mid 90's. he was 81 years old and he is really missed.. the guitar was never abused and should service you well...Gene

Gene, thanks for the reply. It does look great and sounds good enough for me. I was wondering if the original nuts and bridges are still laying around somewhere? The string spacing on the bridges are sort of hit and miss.
