Bill finally has his new cable ready for sale. This is absolutely the best I've used since he made his earlier Belden w/brass ends. The new connectors are corrosion-proof and use 1/16" Allen screws that you do not have to try to screw way down...just flush with the surface of the plug, and they do not let loose. Again, as with all Lawrence designs, the quality control is superb, as are materials and finish. The cable measures 20pF per foot, and this very low capacitance assures no tone loss(highs), and has to be the most flexible, at least twice as, other cable out there. Now the really great news.....they are selling 50ft of cable, and 10 plugs for $48.50!
Bill made the best cable before......and he's making the best cable now......again. |

Jeff,
do you know if the new ends will work on the older BL/Belden 2500 cable? I have a hundred feet or so of the old cable that i bought for pennies years ago when a store was going out, and never had ANY luck with the old connectors... great sounding cable, but since i've had to resort to using standard switchcraft soldered ends, they are also a pain in that the strain relief doesnt hold very well, so I end up resoldering every few months or so. |
