I'd like to drop about 50 pounds, and I know I'm not the only one.

Who else?

Personally, I prefer "Abundant American"! I would be one for sure. The shadow off my a@# weighs 30 pounds, but losing now. 25 pounds since october. Slow going, but it's coming off in a healthy manner!

Happy New Year to everyone from us stationed here on Ascension Island!!!

I started at 310 pounds. Dropped to 261. The sawbones said "Great!". While I was so busy being proud, and somewhat smug, he said that I needed to lose another 10 0/0. I said "Damn Doc - you don't ask much".
He said " Jimmie, that's just 26 more pounds".
I said "Thanks Doc - I had some math in school".
I thought well'I did it before - I can do it again. I weighed yesterday - I gained 6 pounds! It ain't right...

I was at about 20 pounds more than I should have been last year when I had my neck surgery but lost 15 pounds fighting the ensuing staph infection. Still fighting pain and scar tissue and have put on yet another 20 this year! Image Paying for all the therapies (that haven't worked) has left my wallet a lot lighter though! Image Image

I'd say that, at 250lbs, I'm a fully-qualified member of this particular group, but that's better than the 284 that I was at two years ago.....

My wife says that that may be the case but you also can't drive a tack with a sledge hammer! Image
In the last year I lost 54 lbs...but gained 33 back. tommorrow I will go back to my diet/walking program and will drop at least 50 more......Yes I will.....I know I can....
Yeah......Well, I hope...... Image

Yeah, you could say I'm overweight. But I'll tell you what, would you rather die fat and happy or thin and hungry?

I toured a womens prison once and couldn't help but notice the fantastic menu. My host said, it's a good investment....there are less problems with the inmates if they are fat and happy, rather than lean and mean! Image www.genejones.com

Like Rick says "get to love letttuce" I mean really love lettuce and veggies. Was 252 last Jan 1, 210 right now. Still 20 to go and boy is the last stuff slow in coming. I may have to do something drastact like running to get to where I want weight wise--since I still have a serious taqueria/pizzeria addiction. I screw-up at least every other week. The provolone and pepperoni is calling me! I was doing pretty good up until Thanksgiving weekend. I'm not really overweight. I'm just retaining food. The holiday variety. I have been able to maintain enough energy to sit up and take nourishment though.

John, This operation is very controversial I think you should talk to some people who've had it and see how they feel before you go under the knife.

I will try to hook you up with a friend who, along with her boyfriend, had it not too long ago and has a lot to say about it.

My body is old and bold. Believe it or not, I used to could tred water in a garden hose. hide behind a mic stand and such,,,now my knee levers arn't so far apart and I play better.,, Image!
Except for a few aches and pains (that have naturally come with aging), I actually fell better with a little (about 25 or 30 pounds) more weight on.
Just like Junior Knight with his Bb thing, FAT IS WHERE IT'S AT!!!!!

I'm not exactly a walking x-ray; but when I break wind I do get airborne. Image Now, I weigh 158 pounds; but I'm 6 ft. tall.

It's better having some mass. I come from a long line of thin relatives. I tried everything that I thought would put weight on me for the first 25 years of my life;___nothing worked. You finally just give up.

Every time I bought a new suit the pants had to be butchered and still never fit.

There are some advantages to having some meat on your bones.
