I just found a documentary (on an old VHS tape I have) called 'The Other Side of Nashville'. I don't know when it was filmed but, judging by the cherubic appearance of Ricky Skaggs, it seems to be early to mid-'80s.
Hank Jr's steel player in the film has blonde hair and a red MSA - does anyone know who it is? |

If it's from the 80's, it's most likely Eddie Long. |

Roger,
It was Eddie Long who played in the Bama band back then. I think he left around '92 or '93.

Hey Roger, it was definitely Eddie Long. I played sax with Hank Jr. in 1991 on the "Lone Wolf Tour"(and lived), and Eddie and the Drummer Bill Marshal, got me the job playing with Hank.
