Jim Loessberg has it tabbed. A link to his site should be found under "Links."

Great tune. Same chords as "Back Home in Indiana."

As if the head weren't tough enough, you want the dang solo?? As played by Bird, no doubt, at about 300 bpm, right? You're a better man than I am Gunga Din!

What're you doin' buying my C6 tab if you're ready for Donna Lee? I'm gonna make you teach it to me

p.s. by the way, I think Jim Loessberg may have tabbed the head, but probably not the solo.

Jim,

You're right -- it's the head only. Here's a trick for some of the solos if you don't read music: get an Omni book and input the notation for the solos into Band In A Box.

It will take some time but you can then play it back at a very slow tempo and learn it that way. Once you have it learned, you can speed the BIAB up gradually until you can play the solo at tempo.

Best wishes,

Jim

Thanks for the tip Jim. BIAB is such a great learning tool well beyond simply using it a s a play along.

Actually, the solo is available in music notation. There is a saxophonist from Florida who transcribed most of Charlie Parker and John Coltrane's solos. His name is Sam or Andrew (Andrew White?) something or another -- Super Sax, or . . . maybe from the DC area. As for the tab, you'll have to figure that out for yourself -- but that's the fun part because you learn more abotu the instrument and yourself.

Best of luck,
Susan
