Although it warmed my heart to see a piece on our beloved JD in Guitar Wearer, I must say, the writer's use of the term "lap slide" drove me up the wall. I mean I am used to folks at shows referring to the dobro as a "slide guitar" or the PSG as the "steel pedal", but that sort of thing in a music rag seemed sloppy. That said, his enthusiasm for the instrument and Jerry's playing and musical contributions was very evident and good to see. Now I guess I need a second Beard to keep in that DADF#AD tuning.
