Jimmy has a couple of dobro instructional DVD's which may be just what you're looking for.

Maybe, Jim Heffernan .
He has some instructional material available
on his site.www.jimmyheffernan.net

I recently took a workshop with Jim. It was great. He went over essential techniques and musical application.

I have been playing dobro for a couple of years and it was just what I needed to take my playing to the next level.
I wish I had this when I first started. It would have saved me alot of frustration and (hand)headaches.
He is a great player and teacher.

Rob Ickes Videos are also good.
If you can go to one of Jim's Workshops you will get more out of it than any book or video.
Hope that helps -Dave
