I was a truck drivin' son of a gun in those days.running from Salt Lake City to all parts of Cal. Hauling swingin beefto cal. and produce back to S.L.C. I sometimes went up to and stopped in Bakersfield and got acquainted with Tom Brumley. when he was with Buck. And over at the blackboard was Freddy Hart and another place with a good steel picker and singer don't remember his name..Tom was playing for fun at the Barrel Club when he had time. I knew some Brumleys in my home town. Tom said they were probably cousins of his. I was born in Eureka Springs Ark and lived there till I was old enough to go somewhere wlse. Well I still play my old Maverick 3and 1 . have a lot of fun Bob

I had the privilege of watching Ray Price introduce the song "Night Life" with that young Buddy Emmons in Fresno, CA when it came out in the 60s.
Bobby Bare preceeded Price and Buddy played for Bare. I didn't who the steeler was at the time but when it was time for Price, Buddy came out with his Cherokee Cowboys uniform and then I recognized who it was. When Buddy started "Night Life" I almost fainted, it was so cool and I was hearing it before it made air play.
