I wish Lloyd Green's LPs would be reissued on CD. I can't get enough of his playing. |

I asked him about this at the convention and he said that, while he owns most of his material, he has no intention of repressing any of it any time soon. (repressing? no double entendre intended)
He SEEMED to have a certain ennui regarding his material; as if he maybe didn't like it very much or didn't understand why so many would be so crazy about getting hold of it.
I asked him if he knew how 'in demand' his stuff is. He said yeah but seemed to want to change the subject?!
Oh well, he's a genius and a nice fellow but kind of an odd duck about those past recordings.[This message was edited by Marty Pollard on 06 September 2002 at 06:18 PM.] |

Most great musicians will not admit that they are.Lloyd Green is one of my all time hero,s,he may be like Jimmy Day was quoted as saying after playing a session(I coulda shoulda done better)not my opinion on either one of these great musicians, any better and I could'nt stand it.
I agree Mr. Green should release some of his older works on CD and "test the water"

I went over to the booth to the left of the main stage and found several Lloyd Green LP's, one of which I bought, the "Cool Steel Man" album. I loved this album since I was little and choked out the $20 for it. Alot for an album, but it was worth it.
If you really would like on of Lloyd's recordings, you could find some of his LP's and find a way to have it burned onto a CD. |

I have several of Lloyds old albums which I have copied to a CD to enjoy. Please don't ask me for a copy because it will not happen.

Back about a year ago I asked one of Nashvilles own and a friend of Lloyds the same question...The answer I received goes along with what Marty said...Lloyd just dosn't feel his work is that good and would take too much time to redo in a studio.
Maybe we should start a petition to show him how much we care for his music, as is.
