The Derailers gave a free out-door concert last night at Threadgills in Austin, with Marty sittin-in.
Inspite of having his volume pedal mal-function, he dished out some tasty stuff with flying colors ! |

Kerry-- yea, I've seen the Derailers both times that they have come to southern Calif in the past three years; both time I was lucky that Marty Muse came with them. Like most good steelers, he seems to be highly under-rated and appreciated. From my viewpoint, the Derailers don't sound like the Derailers unless marty is playing. I still wonder why he is not listed as a permanent band member (He must not want to give up plentiful studio work?) |

Actually he has been touring with Robert Earl Keen this past year, which has been keeping him busy I assume along with his growing family. |

Dan, the Derailers use a variety of guys...I was lucky to catch Mike Daly with them in San Marcos.
They like having steel, but nobody is regular with them right now.
Kerry, hows it going? |

Bobby old chap, you are obviously too modest to mention that you also played with them a couple of times in Austin. |

I saw Bobby pick with the Derailers last year at the Luling Watermelon Thump (festival). He was kickin' some serious butt! Great job Bobby! And one other thing Bobby; thanks in advance, for coverin' my Kevin Fowler gigs on Thursday and Friday this week! I owe ya' big!
Keep on pickin'!
