I was told that when you did the Emmons Guitar Company album aka/The Black Album, you plugged into a Twin Reverb. If so, did you use the reverb in the amp or some kind of outboard effect? I have been trying to get those tones and haven't quite figured it out. I just wondered.

I'll pipe in here since it's been a few days. I believe that Buddy used some amp reverb and increased the overall level with some plate reverb during choruses and such. Correct me if I'm wrong, E. |

Buddy used anointed hands and heart on most of his cuts. The efects don't seem to make much difference. |

I've been addressed, "Hey, buddy", before, does that count? |

Okay you win. I really wanted to know from the Big E's fingers don't you know. I don't know if "hey buddy" counts or not. I guess we can let it go this time. I was just a little upset because I see postings but when I click on it no Buddy. Everybody but Buddy. That's ok I guess. At least people are checking it out.

Just recently Buddy spent a good month or two answering every question I would have wanted to ask him plus hundreds of others that I never thought of on Ernie's website. I believe Ernie archived all of that information so Craig if you will spend a few minutes with you mouse I would be willing to bet that you be able to find the answer to your question directly from E's fingers, it just won't be addressed to you personally! |

Fine reply Jay, I was feeling guilty about goofing around. I hope this helps him answer his question. |
