"ORANGE" DOTS? Always ORANGE?

I guess I'll have to toss my raspberry colored steel guitar shirt that I had custom made for the trip back to "out west" St.Louis

No sacrifice is too great....if its' for steel guitar!

It's been 10 or 11 years since I was there. I'm thinking about this time. Got my brochure a week or so ago.

We will be there as usual working in the Gospel Steel booth directly across from Flynn booth which Fred will be manning and 30 feet from Jim Cohen who will be working diligently in the Fessenden booth. If Jim does real well, Jerry might let him take a break on occasion, HA.
Please stop by and introduce yourself to us.
I especially would like to meet Jim Smith as I have a Dekley 12U on a double neck body and would love to find out some things about it as well as meet the person who actually built it.
See ya all there.

Hi Doug,
I look forward to meeting you too, and will be yet another Jim in Jerry's booth. Watch out when Jim Palenscar and Gerry Walker show up, as together we put on a wild "Jim and Jerry" show! Image

Actually, it's more like the "Tom and Jerry" show!

Now, let's see. I don't remember a lot of my geometry, but if I'm 30 feet from Doug Rolfe, and 30 feet from Fred Layman (see page 1), then I must be on the hypoteneuse of something, squaring my roots and dividing by pi. This is getting SOOO confusing, I just don't know where I belong! I wish Scotty would just have a normal procedure for allocating space! Image

I was there in 1976 and 1977. It was great!

I saw Buddy Emmons, Curly Chalker, Jimmy Day,Reece Anderson, Speedy West,Bob White, and of course the head man, DeWitt Scott.

I thought I would just mention some of the top players that were there. Many more great players were on the stage. I just can't remember now.

Jerry Byrd(when he played you could hear a pin drop,it was so quiet.)

Videos of these shows, properly edited etc., would be appreciated by thousands of steel players all over the world.

Get those orange dots and introduce yourself to another orange dot, and see face to face whom you've been communicating with on this Forum. A great bunch of guys. Sorry I can't be there too......al Image Image Image

I will be attending since it will probably be my only chance to see my hero, Buddy Emmons, before he says he can't do it anymore. Anyone know if the Radisson is a manageable walk since the show hotel is full?

I am a PSG newbie and a brand new Forumite, but my girlfriend and I will be there as well. She lives in STL, so I won't have to pay for a room!

The Radisson Downtown is just fine - a nice walk away. I shall be there - 4th year running - I always stay there. I am looking forward to seeing Buddy Emmons, never managed to catch him before.

I can't make it this year, but the wheels of planning are in motion for next year.

It's the biggest "toy store" in the U.S.A. Image, besides that, great pickers and a reunion with some of the nicest people I've met through the years.

Hey guys, since I didn't get a flyer about the convention, I'll just have to drive about five miles this Tuesday to see Buddy and Hal so I feel sorry for you guys who have to travel so far. I played at one of the first conventions that Scotty had and sure did enjoy myself. But I'm still,

Tony.........nice of you to share your happiness with the rest of us. We're all very happy for YOU!

Your five minute drive to see Buddy and Hal is nothing like our drive from Oregon to Texas last March. Whew! BUt with such great pickers and personalities it was worth it, as will the long travel to St.Louis.
