I reacently got a cd of the group Area Code 615 that was a reaissue of 2 albums they cut in i think 1969 and 1971.My pal Weldon was really burn up that emmons on cuts such as"why ask why" and "welaphant walk".Anybody else remember these albums?Weldon if you see this post tell us a little about these albums.

Robert, not only do we share the same last name but we share similar tastes! The Area Code 615 stuff is awesome!! Check out Weldon's work on Lady Madonna and a ballad entitled "Always the Same". Great Stuff!

I've had the LP on my turntable for the past week, listening to "Why Ask Why". It is Weldon, right? The liner notes give him credit.

I saw Area Code 615 at the Fillmore West many years ago in San Francisco. It was a Sunday night, when they held a jam session at the end of the evening. I still remember Buddy Spicher trading country/jazz/fusion licks with Terry Haggerty (http://www.terryhaggerty.com) of the Sons of Champlin -- lookout -- not steel players). Another 60s moment.
