Someone asked me the other day where this phrase came from..."Big Ol' country-western $h!t." Like I'm some kind of expert...I've heard it for years, and have always found it humorous, but I don't know who's credited with coining it.
I even did a Google search to find out where it came from and I got nothin'. Please help. |

Kevin, I"ve been around a half century, been in the Army, and that's the first time I've ever heard that phrase! How would you use it? Honey, your meat loaf tastes like ..........! [This message was edited by Larry Miller on 16 May 2002 at 07:25 PM.] |

Sure, I could give you the origin of that phrase...but it'd probably be better for everybody if you'd just stop associating with whoever's saying it! |

I've heard Coon-asses say that. Maybe that's where it came from.

Kinda reminds me of a story from Mike Basden, great Piano player. Seems years ago when he was subbing a gig, a fiddle operator showed up just b4 the gig was to start, also a sub, didn't "need no tuner". The ominous sign came when his words were "Just gimmee a High Western 'E'", whatever the hell that is. [This message was edited by Danny Naccarato on 18 May 2002 at 09:17 AM.] |
