Dual Pro Case

Post by Gibson Hartwell »

I can't stomach lugging my dual pro around in the original tweed case anymore - I'd like to keep it in at least usable condition. Who has had a good experience having a custom case made for this guitar? My cases seem to always end up taking a beating somewhere along the line so durability is a concern. Thanks.

Try New York case. They can build a firm case for 88-key keyboards for around $100 with casters.

You can get their info at this ebay auction. They have a toll-free number, too. Give them the dimensions and they can make them. Talk to Bruce.

I would suggest for a custom case two people:

Rob Anderson robanderson316@lycos.com

Don Burrows wingingit@adelphia.net

Both of these guys make a great case!

hey gibson-
if you want to try building one yourself, george weisel has a dual pro with case that you could get measurements from.

John,

That's a great idea. I've actually got the original case. Just don't want to completely trash the thing schleping the guitar around. I'd love to build the case myself, however, can't fit that into the schedule. I need all the practice time I can get!

That seems like a great price Kevin. Where are they located and how is your case holding up?

Unfortunately my bookmarked link to DC Case, who I was going to contact about an effects pedalboard, is dead. Seems that DC Case may be no more.

I'll dig out the 1-800 number from my records for DC Case and post it here tomorrow. My case is holding up fine although I had to move the handle to a central position . for some reason it was not in the middle. The suggestion a member posted to build a case or have a carpenter build it for you is an option too. You could contact cement grey Ozite carpeting to the exterior and cut foam or velvety type fabric from a fabric store in the interior.

Hello,
I can build you whatever you need.
Thaught I'd take this oportunity to show you all one hot off the press. A lacquered Hawaiian print case for a GeorgeBoards console. 2 of these were made, one is George's personal case and another for a customer. There is enough fabric left for 1 or two more.
Also for anyone interested in building their own cases feel free to call with any questions.
