Stu is a super great player. He always holds my attention when he plays because it's always the way it's supposed to be played. Did I mention that he is also a super great person with a sense of humor and his wife Marsha is just as nice as he is?

I saw Stu in St. Louis some years ago and I thought at that time he was a great player. Beats me why he has not had more recognition. I had the pleasure of meeting him outside the Fiddler's Inn in Nashville not long after I had seen him play. He was very cordial and accomodating. I have not seen him since except occasional spots on the Opry. He always plays well.

Stu and I roomed together when he worked with Faron Young. He made playing great seem so easy. Played his a$$ off all the time. Lots of fun to be around.

Richard-- That cut of "After The Lovin" on
"Live In Branson" amazes me everytime I hear it. You boys had an entirely differant sound and style on that song and it showed versitility big time !!! The whole tape was a great cut in fact !! That tape is one of my few "favorites". Great job to all of you !!! Bill Myrick - Image

Don't forget Stu's original instrumental "Stu's Blues" and his wonderful playing, (especially the unison string thing he does on the turnaround) on I JUST DESTROYED THE WORLD I'M LIVING IN on rob Parker's album. Does anybody have it tabbed?

Man,I love the guy and his playing, but he is friends with the "REV" Wayne Smith of TSGA fame.

With friends like that I don't think he can be trusted.

I've known Stu for 34 years. My good friend can't be trusted----[well maybe just a little]. Actualy, I hope the Treasurer of NTSGA can be trusted with all those millions.
