Warming

At the beginning of a solo practice session for Hawaiian tunes, I have a couple of tunes with a lot of forward and reverse slants and harmonics that I play for warm-up (like shooting basketball goals before a game).

On the pedal guitar, I'm using Buddy's intro and break on the "Half'A Mind" recording for such a practice tune, because of the open strings played in harmony at the twelth fret and the ending harmonics.

Can anyone suggest a tune with more pedal movements than this. I'm looking for a very complex tune to play on a pedal guitar for beginning practice, not especially fast runs, but with a lot of mechanical movements,___any suggestions?

Sure. Get ahold of the old Emmons tune "Singing Strings". This (pre E-pedal) song has just the kind of backwards slants you're looking for!

I do Mooney's intro and break on "Above and Beyond" as my warmer-upperer! Lot's o' pedal stuff!
