Here is a bit of trivia for you all, the Movie that was out before the Dukes, was called "Moonrunners" it occasionaly shows on Movie Plex . It came out in 1975 and features Waylon as the Balladeer, and all the Waylors including Ralph Mooney on steel.

Somebody told me that Doug Livingston gave up playing steel. Story I heard is that he makes more money as chauffeur for Earnest Bovine.

Hello all, I watched that show as kid every Friday on CBS in the (gulp) late 70s early 80s, and wonder sometimes if those steel-filled chase scenes had anything to do with my being drawn to the PSG... here's a question...any way to get recordings of some the music from those scenes? Any links that anyone knows of? I'd love to hear that stuff again.
