I recently listened to a cassette tape of Paul Franklin playing a bunch of tunes on Pedabro and steel, great stuff! But, there was no title or info, just the artists' name handwritten in pen (probably 3rd or 4th generation recording). Does anyone know the title of this album? I was thinking it might be Pauls'" Play by Play" or "Aroostix"?

I really liked the way Paul played "orange blossom special" on that tape.

I baught mine from Paul Franklin Sr. At that time he had all of Pauls albums that were still available. I would give him a call. If nothing else it is always a pleasure to talk to him. He is a wonderfull person.

Jeremy

BTW you can get his number on the Franklin website

If I remember right, I bought mine at Scotty's. I loaned it to someone and never saw it again so I'll likely buy another copy.

It's really interesting to listen to. I like Roly Poly

I bought this tape from Scotty a few years ago, it is great. I really like the song Maria, I think it ought to be done more often on the steel.

Hopefully someday they will re-release this on CD. Great job Paul.

I would just continue trying to get ahold of Paul Sr. He really is a treat to talk to and I am sure that he would have some of the tapes.

I also bought mine from Scotty's. The address for Franklin Guitar Company is 712 May Drive, Madison Tenn. 37115. Phone number 615-865-4754. And I'd guess they would also send you one, or more.

Bob.

Also, Paul has a new double CD out called looking back that I got last year that has 38 songs on it, 11 of them from accoustix, some from the christmas album, some from 1974, some from 1981 and some from 1979. it even has 3 new songs. I would get it if possible. once again call Paul Franklin for info.
