Billy, I am very proud for you and your new guitar. I know you will love it. Oh, I just went back and checked and I told you the same thing in the 12th post of this thread.
I sure am happy for you and I know you must be on cloud nine. I have had those feelings a few times in my life and it is great.

harry I dont think its a sad affair at all. Fact is the Emmons people took care of Billys guitar EVEN THOUGH they most likely didnt make a dime on it. Now THAT speaks volumes. I would order a new Emmons in a second without hesitation based merely on the fact that this episode played out like it should have. I probably wouldnt be as patient as Billy has been but I wouldnt hesitate to order their product at all. Sad was when Aycoth or whoever made off with Billys money and left the new owners with a guitar to build for free. Glad is today cause Billys got his guitar. WAY TO GO EMMONS!!

Roger & John,

you fellows are obviously Ron Jr's buddies and I respect that you support him.

John, you say that:

"Ron Jr Got beat up pretty bad in this thread because some people simply did not know all the facts."

It was also said that:

"it is important to note that Ron Lashley, Jr. was the GOOD guy, not the bad guy in this entire mess because he really didn't have to do what he did."

Roger & John, all of us who were disturbed by these events had only the "facts" as presented to us by Billy Jenkins. If Billy distorted the facts, than we all got suckered and Ron Jr got unjustly beat up.

Ron Jr's silence regarding this matter did him no good.

If he had shown just a little bit of respect to the forum members (who one would assume constitute a large pool of his potenial customers), and had been willing to offer minimal explanation regarding the problem, he would have probably received overwhelming support.

His silence appeared to many as arrogance and did nothing to paint him as the GOOD guy.

It's good that this unfortunate mess is over.

Regards,

Harry, I REALLY BELIVE THAT YOU JUST DON"T KNOW WHEN TO LET WELL ENOUGH ALONE. COME ON, HARRY, THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU HAVE SAID,and I mean ALL THROUGH THIS DRUG OUT THREAD. I am NOT trying to CHAP YOUR ASS, BUT, IF I AM, WELL, EXCUSE ME. I could tell every one in the whorld what you said in an E-mail you sent me pertaining to this thread, BUT, I will NOT BRING MYSELF DOWN TO YOUR LEVEL. GEEZZ, MAN, LET IT GO. We all would LOVE TO MOVE ON AND HELP EACH OTHER AND SHARE OUR EXPERIENCE, and our LOVE OF OUR STEELS. I JUST THINK YOU NEED TO ANALIZE AND REHASH YOUR THOUGHTS BEFORE YOUR "KEYBOARD TRIGGER FINGER" PUSHES THE WRONG WORDS. I am NOT trying to cut you down, Harry, I am trying to get YOU to see what WE see in what you say. If I have OFFENED YOU, I am TRULY SORRY, MY FRIEND. I hope that you will have it in your heart to forgive me. MAYBE I JUST GOT CARRIED AWAY HERE. If I have, THEN EVERYONE TELL ME. I LOVE THIS FORUM, AND APPRECIATE ALL THAT BoB HAS DONE FOR OUR ENJOYMENT. THIS IS FOR US, HARRY, TO ENJOY OUR FRIENDSHIPS, OUR KNOLAEGE, AND OUR SORROWS. WE ARE A FAMILY HERE. AND I DO KNOW THAT WE HAVE PROBLEMS SOMETIMES, BUT, TO go ON AND ON, WELL, .......I have said ENOUGH. GOD BLESS EVERYONE HERE. (if an apology is in order here, PLEASE, SOMEBODY LET ME KNOW)

How many other problems have had to be fixed by Ron that didn't get posted? I am sure that there was more than one guitar situation. It would have been better for you guys to have heard something from them, but I continued to get excellant service from them through it all. I had no doubts about it personally. Ron probably took the attitude that I need to be working, not typing.

RON,
The old saying, opinions are like belly buttons, we've all got one, and I feel we should be able to express them. I for sure feel you have a right to give yours, and you did.

You should be able to express your's....and Harry should be able to express his. I thought that was the purpose of the Forum.

If two people run a business, and they both agree on everything, one of then ain't nessarry.

Bob.

Harry

I must take issue with your contention that my support for Ron is because he's 'my buddy'....

There's no question in my mind that Ron and Rebecca are decent, hard-working and honourable, but my relationship with them has, so far, been limited to the times I have spent at the Burlington facility while a guitar of mine was worked on.

I am impressed by the fact that my needs have been addressed promptly and satisfactorily, regardless of the fact that my 'name' is not one that will bring kudos to the Emmons Company.

I was impressed that Ron spent a whole day solving a problem on my D10, largely of my own making, only a few days after he'd taken over the company and at a time when things must have been particularly trying.

The thought of Ron sitting and posting on the Forum in the midst of all that was going on is an absurd one, and I doubt that anything he posted would have satisfied all of his detractors. The Lashleys have acted honourably, yet I haven't seen anyone on the Forum posting to the effect that they were sorry, and that perhaps they shouldn't have said what they did.....

---------------------------------------------
To be scrupulously fair, I must say that, since my first contact with the Emmons Co. in '98, my experiences have always been positive, and this includes my dealings with Jim and Joanne Aycoth; what came to pass between them and the Lashleys is not my business, and I don't pretend to know the 'ins and outs' of it all.

I hadn't intended to participate in this 'thread', but my sense of injustice finally got the better of me.

Harry, my dad taught me to keep my mouth shut when I didn't know what I was talking about. Obviously you didn't receive that lesson when you were growing up. Ron Lashley Jr. owed you, me and this forum NOTHING! He didn't owe Billy anything but he made good on Billy's deal just the same. What is your primary objective here? Is it to give the Emmons Co. a black eye? The former owner has already done that! Is it to keep Lashley Jr. from trying to build back what once was a great company to do business with? Geez Harry, go invest in some anger management courses and try for something constructive for a change. While you're at it, you might take a course in Simple Business 101 just to see how the real world ticks! Just for the records, I don't know Ron Jr. or Rebecca nor have I ever conversed with either so I'm not buddies with them.

Billy,

I'm very happy for you. Let us know in a new thread how it plays and sounds.

Everything worked out well so let's close this and be happy for Billy and wish Ron Lashley jr. good luck with his company. He made things right and that's fine.

I'm neither acquainted with Ron Lashley Jr or one of his buddies.

I saw a business man getting beat up on for probably something he didn't have anything to do with and to tell the truth I just don't like Lynch Mobs and bad mannered people from Blue Bell PA or any other place for that matter.

In case you are wondering , Harry, South Mills NC is about 200 miles from Burlington, NC but still closer than you were to the truth.

Now say Good night Harry Image
