Well Billy I have to say you're well deserving of this guitar. I hope it's all you want it to be and then some. I liked the one about the prayer cloth too. Image It's always been about faith hasn't it?
That guitar with that amp/pedal combination should be a great combination. I've had that same set-up for a while now.

Mr.Parish;
Faith is all I has to go on from the time of the new Ownership take over.
And support from people like you, but then when the threats started to roll in on me and my wife from people that I didnt even know, For rocking the boat as one fellow stated, and to leave well enough alone, At my age I didnt need a steel guitar, That just incouraged me to hang on that much more, and I had our church to put this suitation on their prayer list and with that being said, I knew that it would be just a matter of time, God said what ever you ask in faith beliving, it shall be done, and thats all we had was our faith, my money was already gone and the check cashed, So I did my part. I kept my faith.. and now it's on it's way..
Thats all I ever asked for.just what I paid for,nothing else..
Take care God Bless everyone and their family's

Sounds like it should be delivered tomorrow! Image With all the trouble you've had getting this guitar, I suggest that you or someone be at home when it arrives and don't let the UPS driver leave until you open it up and give it at least a cursory inspection for damage. Another alternative, although it might be too late, is to call your local UPS office and make arrangements to pick it up there. Open and inspect it there too.

Mr.Hess;
I dont think any good would come out of me reposting all of this suitation,
First off, Mostly everyone from around the world has been reading all bout it, the reason I know is, from the many emails we have received from around the world..
next those who dont, dosent need to know, just for the fact it might cause them some bad fellings with this Company, and thats was never my intention,I dont want anyone to think anything bad on my account, They still build the number one steel guitar in the business and they worked very hard to reach that goal.. They did come thru with my order and thats all I asked from day one.... and now that they have, as far as I'm concerned it is over with.....
But I do think, that If it wasnt for all of you on the steel guitar forum adding your support, it probley would still be sitting in North Carolina right now....I wish nothing but the best for the Emmons Company,
and as of today, my new Emmons is somewhere in Parkersburg, on a UPS truck makeing it's rounds....[02/26/02
God Bless you all...
Billy......

Harry

You make it sound as though Ron finally yielded to pressure from this Forum.

I draw your attention to my 'post' on the previous page of this thread.

Billy I think you are right in letting sleeping dogs sleep. You have been a perfect gentleman through this ordeal and I respect you for that. You and your wife sound like the kind of people i'd like as close friend's.

I'm so happy you are getting your steel, and I think the comments from forum members helped, but I also think your faith in the Lord also helped even more. God Bless.

Good job Billy! There aint no good that can come from rehashing a resolved situation. Congrats on getting your fine new Emmons guitar and congrats on having enough common savvy to know when things are better left alone. Cant wait to see pics of your new axe!!

Billy, congratulations on finally getting your guitar. It's been a long wait and I'm sure you are elated that this has finally come to and end. I'm sure this guitar will always remain very special to you.

Again, it is important to note that Ron Lashley, Jr. was the GOOD guy, not the bad guy in this entire mess because he really didn't have to do what he did. Maybe the timing wasn't the greatest but stop and remember who it was that manufactured most all of the components for Emmons guitars and I believe that Mr. Lashley walked into an empty building when he took back the company. Ron Jr. and his wife solved this problem as fast as they could and no I don't feel that they were pressured to do so.

The UPS site says "delivered-driver release"
and when you go to the details, it says
"porch"!
I sure hope you were home at the time and they didn't just leave it sitting there, but it is UPS.

Thanks Mike for saying this. Image

When you take over an existing business, sometimes you inherit a mess. I know, I've been there. I bought a business in Hermitage Tn in 1976 and Three days later the State Tax people Chained my doors because the previous owner was 87 days Late in paying his sales taxes when I Took over.

Ron Jr Got beat up pretty bad in this thread because some people simply did not know all the facts. Best to reserve Judgement until you know the whole story.

I pretty much know the whole story, and if Billy hadn't recieved his guitar, I would have said, Billy you just got caught up in a really bad mess.

But the part I didn't like was what appears, notice I said appears, to be the lies about, it was going to be shipped, no it won't be shiped until later. And it went back and forth.

Oh what a tangled web we do weave, when at first we begin to decieve.

Bob.
