putting together a band to bring back old cowboy trail songs. Listening to a tape of material put together by the singer. Just wondering who the steelers might be for:

Some of Don Edwards stuff, such as "my rifle,my pony & me"

And especialy Roy Rodgers' "When Pay Day Rolls Around"? ......Thanks.

Steven--I have one Don Edwards tape--"Goin' Back To Texas". Tom Morrell plays steel on some cuts. (And Sonny Garrish on Dobro).

The only CDs I have of Don's are solo cowboy songs. I'd love to hear him with the likes of Morrell or Garrish backing him.

I've known Don since I was a kid. We grew up in the same town, and he used to come over to the house Friday nites with my oldest brother for pickin' & singin' with their buddies. In fact, his old Epiphone was the 1st guitar I ever diddled with.
